About This Scholarship
The GBF-Gokongwei Group STEM Scholarship for Excellence Caters to Students Who have a Good Academic Track Record, are involved in Extracurricular Activities, have Displayed Leadership in Their Communities & Would like to Pursue a College Education in a STEM Course, But are Financially not Capable of Supporting Their Education.

- Fixed annual financial grant ranging from P80,000 to $120,000, depending on the university (Sent directly to a scholar’s bank account)

Eligibility
- Must be an incoming or ongoing college student by A.Y. 2025-2026.
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a Philippine university or college.
- Must have a General Weighted Average of 85% or higher or its equivalent
- If an incoming first year college student, must belong to the top 10% of senior high school batch
- Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in any of their priority programs.
- Must be willing to fulfill a two-year return service program upon acceptance into the program.
- Must be of good moral standing and exhibit active participation and involvement in extra-curricular activities.
- Must be in need of financial support to complete their studies.

- Proof of Academic Standing
- For incoming college students
- Certified True Copy of Grade 12 Report Card
- Notice of Admission for A.Y. 2025-2026
- Batch Ranking Certificate
- Official School Grading System (to be requested directly to your school)
- For continuing college students (second year and above)
- Certified True Copy of Grades – 1st Term A.Y. 2024-2025 (Signed/Certified portal-generated grades are accepted)
- Registration Form – Second / Third Term A.Y.2024-2025
- Proof of Annual Household Income (Any of the following)
- If parent(s) are employed or self-employed:
- Recently filed 2024 Annual Income Tax Return (ITR) Form 2303 (employed) or Form 1701 (self-employed)
- Certificate of Employment with Salary (dated 2025) for the parent contributing to household income
- Employment Contract with Salary (for OFWs)
- Screenshot of January-March 2025 income (for self-employed parent in ride-hailing services like Grab)
- If the family’s income depends on a senior parent’s pension ( Proof of Pension )
- if the parent(s) do not have a regular source of income and are exempt from filing taxes
- BIR Tax Exemption Certificate (To be submitted later upon successful application
Proof of Billing
- Electricity or Water Bill matching the declared address of residence (dated 2025)
Recommender’s email address (Must not be from immediate family members or relatives)
- One (1) from a Guidance Counselor
- One (1) from any of the following: Adviser, Professor, Principal, School Head, or College Dean
Proof of Participation in Community Engagement Projects
- Certificates / Pictures / Article about the event or project
